NOVA started as an experiment: how far can a static Astro store go before it needs a framework? The answer turned into a full commerce architecture — faceted V2 filters, predictive search, dynamic mega menus and a cart-to-order flow, all in pure HTML.

Five switchable dark gradient palettes and three store editions ship in the box. Every pixel is engineered to feel premium in the dark and fast on every device.

This store is a demo. The theme is real.

The products, editions and live stats are all invented to show NOVA — a premium Astro theme — running at full speed. Fork it, swap the catalog, and you have a storefront of your own.

How the integration works

  • Astro 5 renders every route statically. The data layer runs once at build time and ships pure HTML with zero client framework.
  • One JSON catalog powers the whole store today; point the commerce adapter at the Shopify Storefront API and the same pages rebuild from live products.
  • Checkout stays on your provider. The cart lives in the browser and hands off to hosted, PCI-compliant checkout at the final step.
  • Static output deploys to Cloudflare Pages in seconds and runs comfortably on the free tier.
